Do you feel like everyone around you is blessed and you’ve been overlooked?

It’s easy to feel a little cheated when you look at how much your friends and family members have. Their happiness seems to know no bounds. And every venture they undertake always yields success.

You deserve all those blessings too. And you’re more than able to get them. All it takes is knowledge of how to make room for them in your life.

Once you get into the habit of using these tips, you can expect to see things turn around in your life:

1. Let go of grudges. One of the easiest ways to prevent yourself from receiving blessings is to hold on to grudges. Avoiding forgiveness only clouds your heart with negative energy. Pretty soon, even the blessings in your life seem like burdens to you.

Give it a try. Make an honest attempt at forgiving your colleague for painting you in a bad light. As hard as it is, you’ll instantly feel lighter when you allow yourself to forgive.

If an issue is beyond resolution, make up your mind to take the high road. Agree to disagree and move on to better things.

2. Be kind to others. You can always rely on the fact that kindness to others results in kindness coming back. What you throw out to those around you has a funny way of returning! Make every effort to be kind today.

There are many opportunities to be kind each day. How about that beggar on the corner? Avoid holding your head straight when you pass. Smile and say good morning as you hand him a few dollars.
Commit to only saying kind words about others today. Let this apply to even the people who have offended you.

3. Acknowledge small blessings. Sure, you have your mind set on great blessings. But have you taken the time to express gratitude for the small ones? Even though they’re small, they’re valuable. Avoid overlooking them if you want to continue receiving them!

Being able to see the sunrise each day is a blessing in itself! Consider that many people cannot enjoy that luxury.

4. Give it your best. Everything you are tasked to do is worth doing well. Do your best in any endeavor. The rewards are sure to come when you do.

Stick to your commitments. You’ll be rewarded with awesome blessings at the right time.

5. Get rid of baggage. Baggage can come in the form of sadness or depression. Perhaps you just left an unhealthy relationship. Or you’re at odds with your oldest friend. Whatever it is, let it go so you can focus on being a happier, healthier you.

Wallowing in sadness may feel good now. But consider how it’s affecting your ability to see great opportunities.

If all you can see is darkness, you’ll likely only receive negativity in your life. Free yourself of the weight of baggage.

As you allow yourself to implement these changes, you can expect wonderful blessings to flow. Take the time to build your pool of blessings. You have the key to open the door to the best that life has in store!

How To Prioritize If You Have Trouble Focusing http://evagregory.com/how-to-prioritize-if-you-have-trouble-focusing/ http://evagregory.com/how-to-prioritize-if-you-have-trouble-focusing/#respond Thu, 20 Jul 2017 15:00:02 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9895 Lack of focus can interfere with figuring out your priorities. Devote time to the activities that matter most to you by concentrating on your top concerns. These techniques will teach you how to prioritize like a pro.

Benefits of Establishing Priorities

1.Simplify decision making. Smart choices seem automatic when you can identify which tasks are urgent and where your efforts will have the most impact. You’ll act deliberately instead of drifting from one dilemma to the next.

2.Accomplish more. Distinguish between doing more and achieving more. Know your purpose and allocate your resources accordingly. Prioritizing enables you to work more productively and divide your time more effectively.

3.Reduce stress. Imagine your peace of mind when you stop feeling like you have too little time and too much to do. Accept your limits and take satisfaction in doing your best. Your confidence will keep growing as you enjoy the results of your new sense of direction.

Techniques for Establishing Priorities

1.Create daily rituals. Keep important commitments on the front burner by carving out a specific time for them each day. Designate the hour before bed for reading stories with your children or learning a foreign language.

2.Start off strong. Create momentum that will drive you forward all day long. Score a quick win when you go for a morning run or meditate while it’s still quiet.

3.Disconnect for a while. Limit the time you spend online, making calls, and watching TV. Rediscover face-to-face communications and the beauty of nature.

4.Take breaks. Downtime restores your ability to concentrate.

5.Organize your day. Plan your time with your priorities in mind. You’ll be less likely to become sidetracked by external pressures and distractions.

6.Shorten your to-do list. Weed out the nonessential items. Decide which tasks require excellence and which can be considered good enough if you complete them on time. For example, as long as your bed sheets are washed and dried, maybe you can skip ironing them.

7.Estimate value. If you tend to regard everything as being equally important, look closer. Think of your life as a business and ask yourself how profitable each activity is. Playing with your dog may make you happier than buying expensive items.

8.Use comparisons. Weighing one option against another clarifies their advantages and disadvantages. Going back to school or renovating an old house may both sound appealing, but you’ll have to figure out which one is more worthwhile. Then again, maybe you can tackle both if you figure out which to do first.

9.Ask for help. We all accomplish more working together. Practice delegating at the office and at home. Divide up complex projects so everyone can draw on their individual strengths.

10.Map it out. Drawing yourself a picture may help in situations where your priorities are still unclear. Maybe you’ll come away with a fresh perspective on how to invest your retirement savings or which training courses to take during the next year. Create a chart or sketch out a plan to help you prioritize.

11.Write it down. Whether you rely on modern technology or a paper journal, putting your priorities into writing will help you stay on track. You’ll be able to monitor your progress and spot any obstacles you need to overcome. It will also make you more accountable.

Direct your energy and attention to activities that align with your goals. Prioritization is a skill that will help you find more time for the things you love. Enjoy a more meaningful life, starting today, by setting priorities!

Effective Goal-Setting Step-by-Step http://evagregory.com/effective-goal-setting-step-by-step-2/ http://evagregory.com/effective-goal-setting-step-by-step-2/#respond Wed, 19 Jul 2017 15:00:19 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9892 Law of Attraction CoachMost of us have a vague idea of what we’d like to accomplish, but few have true, concrete goals. A goal is analogous to a target. Without a goal, you’re just drifting along hoping for things to improve. With a goal, you have a definite direction and purpose.

Though we’ve all been told how important targets are, few of us have ever been given specific directions regarding how to formulate an effective goal.

Give your goal these characteristics and you’ll be on your way to success:

1.Specific. Acquiring a new car isn’t specific. Acquiring a 2015, silver Honda Civic with the navigation package and luggage rack is specific.

Be as specific as you need to be, but not more. If your goal is to meet the man of your dreams, does he really have to be over 6 feet tall and have a dimple in his chin? It’s important to have a clear target, but too much specificity limits your options. Stick to the important characteristics.

2.Time-bound. Without a timeline, you might find yourself waiting for a long time because you’ll be unlikely to ever get started. Having an endpoint date creates focus and urgency.

An effective endpoint date is no more than 12 weeks into the future. If your goal will take longer than that, break it into smaller goals. Anything beyond 12 weeks will cause your focus to wane. It’s far too easy to procrastinate with goals set too far in the future.

3.Possible. If you don’t believe you can achieve your goal, you won’t pursue it. What would be the point? Start with a goal small enough that you believe it can be done within the timeframe you’ve set.

Do you have the necessary resources and time to reach your goal before the deadline?

4.Measurable. If you can’t measure it, how will you know if you’ve achieved it? How will you know if you’re making progress? Goals that deal with money or bodyweight, for example, are easy to quantify. A goal to take a trip to Hawaii is also easy to measure, because you either did it or you didn’t.

Goals that deal with less quantifiable characteristics, such as money, can be a little more challenging. You might have to develop your own measuring scale. Ensure your goal can be measured before you get started.

5.Reviewed regularly. One of the most effective ways to prioritize your goals is to review them at least daily. With so many thoughts and ideas flying around in your head, a daily review of your goals will help them to rise above the noise. Take a few minutes each day to review your goals at least once.

Take enough time to re-write, read, and visualize your goals. After you’ve created your goal, make a list of actions that will lead to attaining your goal. Too many of us spend too much time in our head to be successful. Things only change when new actions are taking place. Start at the end and work your way back to the present. What step could you take today toward reaching your goal?

When you’ve completed all of the steps, your goal should be a reality!

Goals are the key to reliable achievement. Ask your successful and unsuccessful friends about their goals compared to their results in life. Those with goals regularly outperform those without. If you don’t have any goals, hurry up and make a few! If your life isn’t fulfilling, a few goals can make the difference.

Effective Time Management Tips http://evagregory.com/effective-time-management-tips/ http://evagregory.com/effective-time-management-tips/#respond Tue, 18 Jul 2017 15:00:42 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9889 Law of Attraction CoachTime is the one thread that runs through all of our lives. Whether you’re always early for an event, arrive as scheduled, or prefer to be fashionably late, you’re probably also watching the clock. Wouldn’t you love more time in your day to squeeze in more activities? So how can you get more hours out of your day?

Consider these time management tips to enhance your productivity:

1.Preview your schedule for the day the first thing in the morning.Use your calendar effectively and you’ll be able to spend your time more judiciously. With practice, you’ll learn to recognize which tasks need more time to be completed and which tasks’ scheduled time can be shortened.

2.At work, if you’re responsible for leading a meeting, be prepared. Write the meeting agenda in advance.

Stick to the time allotted for each agenda item.

3.Keep your focus on the task at hand. If you need to finish writing a report, stay with it until the report is completed.

4.Take active steps to screen out distractions. If you work better with soft music playing in the background, arrange to listen to your tunes while you complete your tasks.

If you’re on the job, close your office door to deter people from stopping in to say, “Hi,”or ask a quick question.

5.Stand up. If someone calls you into their office for a minute to get your opinion on an issue, avoid sitting down.Impromptu meetings are shorter when at least one of you stands.

6.Have confidence about limiting chitchat at work. Don’t be afraid to tell people you can’t talk right at the moment. Rather than getting perturbed, your associates may praise your work ethic of finishing your projects before taking time to chitchat.

You’re also setting a great example for the other employees. 7.Get comfortable with saying “No.”Being assertive is the hallmark of effective time management.

When you take on more projects than you have time for, the quality of your work may suffer. Plus, your most important tasks don’t get addressed in a timely fashion if you have too much to do. You’re more likely to get more work done – and do it well – if you aren’t overwhelmed by taking on too much.

8.Use your planner at home as well. If you’re struggling during off-work hours to manage your time, feel free to also use your planner there. Write in your schedule when you want to work on certain home projects, like washing your car or cleaning the living room.

9.Set timers or alarms to keep you on task. For example, if you plan to clean your bedroom for an hour, set the alarm on your cell phone. Stop working on the chore at hand when the timer goes off, but not until then (unless you complete the task).

Playing “beat the clock” can be highly motivational. Plus you’re likely to get more done.

For particularly troublesome tasks, set your alarm in smaller increments – even 15 minutes – and take a short breather when your alarm sounds before you re-focus on your task. In particular, you may find that physically challenging tasks are much more manageable if broken into smaller, more do-able “pieces.”

Managing your time effectively will make you more satisfied and productive. Practice these tips to get a handle on everything you want to complete. A well-managed life is within your reach!

Eight Ways To Inspire Yourself And Others http://evagregory.com/eight-ways-to-inspire-yourself-and-others/ http://evagregory.com/eight-ways-to-inspire-yourself-and-others/#respond Mon, 17 Jul 2017 15:00:40 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9874 Law of Attraction CoachInspiration is everywhere, although it’s not always as easy to spot during challenging times.

It can be easy to get stuck in a rut and, once you get there, it can be difficult to get out. But you can find inspiration for yourself and others all around you.

It’s important to remember that inspiration means different things to different people. What someone finds stimulating, someone else may find little value or beauty in. If you’re going to find your own flash of creativity, you can look for what you’re interested in.

What to Look for When Inspiring Others

Since you may not always know what others like, it can be difficult to get through to others and inspire them. Rather than showing others what inspires you – which might not work for them – strive to teach others how to look for the spark they seek. When they know what to look for, they’ll be able to see inspiration every place they look for it. Consider:

1.Breaking down a larger object into fine detail and studying that detail carefully.
2.Analyzing a conversation for subtle nuances that might give you ideas to work with.
3.Looking more closely at something you generally only see from a far-away distance.
4.Using a writing or drawing prompt to get your creative thoughts flowing more easily.
5.Thinking, looking, or listening outside of the box to see new ideas and opinions.
6.Asking others about what inspires them and looking for the hidden beauty in those things.
7.Taking a class in something you’ve never done before or a language you want to learn.
8.Traveling to a place you’ve never been to see the culture and beauty there.

When you teach someone how to locate ideas on their own, they’ll possess that skill all their life. Then they can find their own excitement wherever they are: at work, home, or on the go. It’s a simple strategy that’s great for the creative type, or for anyone who feels stuck in a rut.

Open Your Eyes to Inspiration

Inspiration seems to come more easily to some people than it does to others. Because of that, some people can quickly find stimulation while others remain in a pattern of thinking that tells them strong positive emotions are out of their grasp.

Finding that creative spark is within your reach, if only you’ll make the conscious decision to leave your comfort zone in favor of new experiences. Be willing to make mistakes, look silly sometimes, and live life to the fullest. Creative inspiration is as close as your next decision to try something new.

When you step out of your comfort zone, you’ll be different than the crowd, but you’ll live a life filled with colors, textures, and a richness that many miss. Decide today to try something out of the ordinary, and see what creativity flows from you and to you when you do. You deserve all that life has to offer. Why not make a new choice today?

6 Good Reasons To Keep Asking Questions Like You Did When You Were A Kid http://evagregory.com/6-good-reasons-to-keep-asking-questions-like-you-did-when-you-were-a-kid/ http://evagregory.com/6-good-reasons-to-keep-asking-questions-like-you-did-when-you-were-a-kid/#respond Fri, 14 Jul 2017 15:00:10 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9872 Law of Attraction CoachHave you become more inhibited about asking for explanations as you got older? These are 6 good reasons to hold onto that sense of inquisitiveness. Read on to discover some key questions to ask about your relationships, career and other aspects of your life.

6 Benefits of Asking Questions Like Kids Do

1.Learn more. Kids are always trying to get explanations for how and why things work the way they do. The Socratic Method is a powerful teaching tool at any age. Seek the truth and push yourself to get to the bottom of things.

2.Become more observant. Just formulating questions will broaden your horizons. You’ll become more in tune with what’s going on around you and notice patterns.

3.Engage in critical thinking. It’s easy to feel bombarded by loads of information and advertising in the Internet age. Some healthy skepticism is needed to sort out fact from fiction.

4.Welcome innovation. Challenging the status quo and old assumptions opens us up to positive change. You may discover new ways to trim your grocery budget or spend more time with your family.

5.Develop confidence. Maybe you feel foolish asking questions or assume you’re supposed to know everything. Taking risks by opening up to others can actually make you feel more self assured.6.Communicate better. Consulting with others demonstrates your interest and respect for their knowledge and opinions. That opens the way to improved dialogue.

Key Questions About Your Relationships

1.Assess your compatibility. Before you get engaged, clarify if you’re on the same page about important issues. Do you both want kids? Can you accept each other’s weaknesses?

2.Connect more deeply. It’s easy to talk at a superficial level but stronger bonds form when you probe further. Talk about your core beliefs and greatest challenges.

3.Foster growth. Use the knowledge you gather about yourselves and each other to support each other. Work on improving yourselves, your relationship and your community.

Key Questions About Your Career

1.Determine what you like to do. Interview yourself. Take an inventory of your leisure activities to identify how you like to spend your time and what gives you the greatest sense
of satisfaction.

2.Evaluate what you are good at. Explore how you can make a career out of doing what you love. Reach out to others to invite additional suggestions and feedback.

3.Look ahead. Examine your resume. Does it demonstrate a clear career path or are you drifting from one job to the next? Consider the training and experience you’ll need to move closer to your goals.Key Questions About Other

Aspects of Your Life

1.Define a meaningful life. Draft your own statement of what you want to get out of life and what makes you happy. Others can provide helpful input, but you’re the only one who can answer such questions.

2.Count your blessings. Make a regular drill out of quizzing yourself about the things you’re grateful for, like your health, family and natural beauty. Keeping your blessings fresh in your mind will elevate your mood, lower your stress and make all your activities feel more effortless.

3.Find ways to help others. Helping others is one of the most effective sources of lasting gratification. Ask how you can contribute to creating a better world. Remind yourself how much better you feel when you work for the common good instead of focusing on yourself alone.

Keep asking questions just like you did when you were a kid. Becoming more inquisitive will make life more interesting and rewarding. You may even become a better citizen, friend and employee. In any case, you’ll find life more fulfilling when you ask questions.

5 Ways To Deal With Negative People http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-deal-with-negative-people/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-deal-with-negative-people/#respond Thu, 13 Jul 2017 15:00:10 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9870 No matter what our occupation, we all come in contact with negative, difficult people from time to time. Our primal instinct is to fight back, defend ourselves, and react to their negativity with some of our own. However, we are not animals who are led by instincts. We are human beings with the ability to control our responses.

To fight anger with anger merely depletes our own energy and brings us down to the same level. Why are people difficult? When people act negatively, it’ s a reflection of what’ s going on inside them. It’ s not about you; it’ s about them. It may be a complicated, troubled past or something as simple as a bad day that makes a person angry.

People who are bored and unhappy with their own lives will seek out conflict to boost their egos.

Our ego then responds by thinking, “I have to be right. If I don’ t respond, I’ m conceding defeat.”Then we find ourselves engaged in a conflict that hurts us emotionally, mentally, and maybe even physically.

Ways to Deal with Difficult People

Here are some ways to deal with these difficult people. They may not all be easy (heck, none of them are easy!), but they will give you some peace of mind that you’ re doing the right thing.

1.Wait before responding. Our first instinct is to immediately react and retaliate. However, reacting to another individual’ s negativity usually only eggs them on. You may even realize that a response is not even needed. Maybe the other person was merely venting and needs to simply be ignored because the attack was not personal at all.

If you spend some time cooling off before you respond, you can gain perspective on the situation. If necessary, remove yourself from the room when confronted with a difficult person. Go for a walk outside or walk up a flight of stairs to vent your frustrations.

2.Stop rehashing the situation. This is especially a problem in office job situations where gossip spreads like wildfire. There will always be someone ready to listen to bad things about another. This is a waste of your time and energy.Drop the subject and move on.

The longer you dwell on the situation and talk about it with others, the more negative and angry you’ll become. Take the high road and step away from those who are gossiping or speak up and tell others you don’ t want to listen to it.

3.Express your feelings. If you simply need to get your emotions off your chest, try writing a letter. Vent all your thoughts, feelings, and hurt onto the piece of paper. Let it all out until there’ s nothing left to say. Then crumple up the paper and throw it away. As you do, imagine your negative feelings being thrown away with it.

Don’t let your partner or spouse prevent you from speaking your mind. A true partnership is one in which the ideas and thoughts of each partner are heard.

4.Put yourself in their shoes. This can be very difficult, but study the individual who’ s hurting you. What’ s going on his life right now? Maybe he’ s having family issues or a health crisis. Try to look at the situation as an objective observer detached from the situation. This can help give you some compassion for the difficult person in your life.

Prayer or meditation can help you stay calm and see a situation differently. Consider the difficulties this other person might be facing in life and think about how you would handle a similar situation. 5.Respond positively. This may not always be possible and certainly won’ t be easy. After looking over the situation and trying to understand where the other person was coming from, find something positive to say about him.

Remember the phrase, “Kill ‘ em with kindness”? Very often responding calmly and with a friendly tone will diffuse a difficult situation

Negative people are everywhere. Don’ t let them take your happiness away or affect your mood. Teach these difficult people by leading a good example, by responding calmly, and by showing kindness. As a result, you’ ll bring more happiness to others and find that you feel a greater happiness yourself.

5 Ways To Turn Around Self-Doubt http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-turn-around-self-doubt-2/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-turn-around-self-doubt-2/#respond Wed, 12 Jul 2017 15:00:35 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9868 Flattery or AppreciationDo you struggle with self-doubt? Perhaps you often wonder if you’ve made the right decision or have only a faint hope that your next job interview, project, or even date will turn out well. The most unfortunate thing about self-doubt is that your fears often become self-fulfilling prophecies.

On the other hand, when you take action to become more confident in yourself, more things in your life automatically turn out better as well. With more self-confidence, your decision-making skills are strengthened, others are drawn to you in social situations, you produce higher quality work, and you’re more able to create the life you desire.

Try these strategies to silence the inner critic inside of you and regain your confidence:

1.Stop and think. Reflect on why you’re experiencing feelings of doubt. Think about the events that caused you to feel insecure. Being faced with a challenge that you don’t feel you’re capable of successfully completing is a major cause for self-doubt.

Do you have a habit of putting yourself down? You may be subconsciously repeating negative thoughts that prevent you from moving forward. Such thoughts as “I can’t do this” and “I’m not good enough” become reasons to opt out of new experiences that could bring you many benefits.

The next time you have a self-doubting thought, take a few moments to think about why you believe this is true. If insecurities are getting the better of you because of past failures, you must resolve to live in the moment. Today is a new day!

Replace your negative self-talk with positive thoughts about how you can do it and you are good enough. Make the switch each and every time you have a self-doubting thought. Soon you’ll automatically be singing your praises instead of your doubts.

2.Practice self-understanding. Often, when you feel insecure about your abilities, you start berating yourself. Beating yourself up over something you feel you did wrong only leads to a cycle of frustration and procrastination. Realize that making mistakes doesn’t make you a bad or incompetent person – it simply makes you human.

Allow yourself to accept that while you’re not perfect, you’re certainly someone who always strives to do the very best job you can. Embrace the idea that every challenge in life is an opportunity for you to learn something new and grow as a person.

3.Make a list. Take a blank sheet of paper and make two columns. On the left side, write down all of those doubtful thoughts you’re having about yourself right now. On the right side, list all of the positive facts that dispute your doubts.

For example, suppose you’ve been assigned a new task at work that you’ve never done before, and you immediately become negative because you feel your skills aren’t adequate. On the left side of the list write “I can’t do this because I don’t have the skills.” On the right side of the page write “I was given this task because I’m a quick learner who always gets the job done.”

You’ll find that you have a lot more positive facts listed than doubts. If your positive list is short, keep searching through your talents and good qualities (yes – they are there) until your positive list outweighs your negative one.

4.Write a letter. Write a letter to yourself that talks about your positive traits and how you’ve overcome obstacles in the past. If you can recall a specific time when you triumphed over self-doubt and accomplished something that makes you feel proud, tell this to yourself in the form of a story.

The act of writing the letter will release all of those pent up insecurities that are spinning around inside of your mind. By the end of the letter, you should be feeling a lot better. Keep the letter in a brightly colored folder, so you can refer back to it when needed.

5.Make an appreciation folder. Keep track of those kind words of appreciation you receive from others. When you’re experiencing self-doubt, it’s easy to forget about all of those wonderful comments you’ve received for doing things that made other people’s lives better in some way. Collect all of the emails, notes and cards that say kind and loving things about you.

When you feel the voice of your inner critic welling up inside of you, simply take out your appreciation folder and read those wonderful thoughts.

Self-doubt can rob you of the opportunity to reach new heights of success in life. While it’s very common to doubt yourself once in a while, you want to be able to easily let go of your inner critic when it pops up. Practicing the steps above will enable you to push through your self-doubt, boost your confidence, and clear the way for positive new experiences.

Summer’s Bounty: Work Toward Your Goals This Season http://evagregory.com/summers-bounty-work-toward-your-goals-this-season/ http://evagregory.com/summers-bounty-work-toward-your-goals-this-season/#respond Tue, 11 Jul 2017 12:28:52 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9866 One way to make the most of your summer is to focus on your life goals. Hopefully, you have a short list of objectives that you’re consistently working toward. If not, now’s the time to evaluate what’s most important to you and develop 3 to 5 life goals that help you create the life you desire.

Use these strategies to take advantage of this summer to help make your dreams come true:

1.Write out your objectives and make a plan. You most likely have your objectives in your mind, but writing them down makes your goals more real, tangible, and likely to happen. An action plan guides you forward from step to step.

It’s much easier to focus your time on working to achieve your goals if you’ve thought them through in detail and made a written plan to achieve them.

2.Think about the spare time that you’ll have this summer. Wouldn’t you enjoy setting out to achieve one or two of your life goals in that spare time?

You’ll have some evenings, weekends, and maybe even some weekdays free, depending on your work schedule. That’s a lot of time to devote to manifesting your dreams!

3.Set aside some time in your schedule to work towards your goals. Mark it on your calendar.

For example, if your kids go to grandma’s house on Saturday mornings, block off from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, at least twice a month, to work on accomplishing your objectives. Planning to spend specific time working on what matters to you is necessary to achieve your goals.

4.If your aim is to relax more this summer, reflect on what helps you unwind. Summer is prime time for relaxation! Taking daily walks, working out at the gym, or knitting ardently might be your idea of taking it easy. Whatever it is, go for it!

5.Maybe you’ve always wanted to produce something. Perhaps you want to write a book of poetry or make furniture by hand. The summer is a perfect time for such projects.

6.Expand your knowledge. Perhaps you want more education. Colleges and universities now offer short-term courses for college credits that can be completed over a summer.

Some educational institutions even offer weekend courses that take place over three or four weekends. Contact your local universities for information.

The summer could also provide you the opportunity to take online courses.

7.Develop your skills. Designate this summer to learn a new skill or further perfect skills you already have.

For example, maybe you’ve always wanted to make jewelry and need one more class to perfect your jewelry-making skills. Take that class this summer! 8.Is one of your goals to enjoy life more? You can get started today! Make plans to do something you’ve always wanted to do.

Take a trip to lands you’ve always wanted to visit.

Talk with friends or loved ones about getting together more often. Make a plan to meet up on a monthly basis just to have some fun this summer.

For many, summer is a chance for renewal and refreshment. Warm weather is the perfect time for this! Whether you take the first few steps toward a new plan or complete a lifelong objective is up to you. Embrace this summer as a time to achieve your goals.

Discovering Your Inner Creative Potential http://evagregory.com/9862-2/ http://evagregory.com/9862-2/#respond Mon, 10 Jul 2017 17:11:51 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9862 Believe it or not, there is creativity lurking within all of us. Creativity is not only the ability to draw a picture or write a poem – creativity is simply thinking in a unique way. When you approach a situation, as long as you keep thinking of new ways to solve problems, you’re thinking creatively.

Here are some tips for discovering your inner creative potential:

1.Do What Makes You Happy. You may already have an idea about what you might like to do creatively, but you may be afraid of failure so you don’t try at all. However, the only failure is if you give up before you start. So what if you fall flat on your face? So what if people are judging you? Adopt the “you only live once” attitude and go for it!

2.Try Again. Let’s say that you feel your true calling is film making. You take a class, but your teacher doesn’t like your work. What do you do? Do you give up or keep going? The answer’s obvious: pick yourself up and keep learning the craft! Take another class or create a film on your own. As long as you’re enjoying yourself, learning, and practicing, you’ll create your own version of success!

3.Don’t Stop Thinking. Of course you never really stop thinking. However, you need to always be thinking new thoughts, solutions, and ideas, especially in mundane situations. You mustn’t just accept that things are done a certain way – you need to expand your thinking and keep coming up with new ways to do old tricks.

4.Inspiration. When you follow what truly inspires you, creativity just comes along for the ride. Let’s say you always wanted to start a business. That doesn’t sound terribly creative on its own, especially if it’s a type of business that already exists. But your inspiration will spark your creativity as you decide how your business will stand out from the competitors.

5.Stay Calm. Avoid situations where you feel overly stressed or uptight. If you’re like most people, you’ll likely do most of your creative thinking in a calm environment. Too much stress can hinder your creative mind, so remember to take breaks when needed.

Act on Your Ideas

There is only one true way to discover if your creative ideas will be successful. You need to make a plan and follow through with it.

Some people are held back by fear of failure, financial constraints, or other setbacks. But if you truly want to accomplish your creative goals, you’ll need to figure out a way to get past the hurdles.

Stuck on Ideas

Remember: there is creativity inside of you, just waiting to be tapped! If you have a passion in life, you can bring creativity to that passion.

If your passion is stamp collecting, for example, you can make that creative. Maybe you could come up with a new design for a stamp collector’s album. You could even design your own stamps or start a website for other stamp collectors to get information. Just be creative!

Set aside at least a few minutes each day for some freedom to be creative. You might find it difficult at first, but before you know it the ideas will be flowing.
