Eva Gregory http://evagregory.com Guidance On Demand: Where Spirituality and Practicality Merge Fri, 18 Aug 2017 15:00:59 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.8.1 5 Simple Brainstorming Techniques http://evagregory.com/5-simple-brainstorming-techniques/ http://evagregory.com/5-simple-brainstorming-techniques/#respond Fri, 18 Aug 2017 15:00:59 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9971 It happens to all of us. We reach that dead end where we simply run out of fresh ideas and we helplessly fumble for solutions that have escaped us. What can we do to get the creative juices flowing again?

One of the best strategies to resolve this dilemma is to use a brainstorming session. The basic technique is easy as 1-2-3:

Think of many ideas in a short period of time.

Jot them all down.

Go back and evaluate each idea’s possibilities. These brainstorming sessions can be invaluable when trying to come up with fresh, outside the box, ideas so we can work towards an effective solution to a difficult challenge.

Here are five tips to help you make the most of your brainstorming sessions:

1.Get outside input. Instead of going at it alone, get some help. Gather a few of the most creative people you know for a group brainstorming session. After all, two (or three or four) heads are better than one. These other participants may come up with some great ideas that may never have occurred to you otherwise.

Let people have fun brainstorming. Relaxed people generally feel more creative, so encourage your group to pace, recline in their chairs, or turn it into a game – whatever they need to do to enable the flow of ideas.

2.Write down all of your ideas. Even if you come up with some wild ideas, write them down anyway. They may be more viable than you think! Some of the greatest breakthroughs in history came from ideas that were considered as pretty outlandish at first. Write it all do wn and revisit it later.

This is a time for gathering ideas, not for shooting ideas down. Avoid discouraging participants in your group because they won’t participate as freely and they might keep the perfect solution to themselves.

3.Be creative and try something different. If you can’t see a solution right away, think of the problem from a fresh perspective. Look at it from a different viewpoint and maybe a new solution will present itself. Traditional solutions don’t have to be the only way to solve problems, and getting creative may get the ball rolling towards the ideal solution!

Many successful entrepreneurs have a talent for observing people’s wants and needs. Then they find or invent a creative new solution. Watch the world around you and don’t be afraid to experiment with new ideas or unusual solutions.

4.Try combining ideas. Whether you’re brainstorming on your own or as part of a group, you may need to mash different ideas together. Sometimes great ideas are born as twins – in the course of a brainstorming session you might come up with two halves of a perfect solution. Don’t be afraid to look at the results in an unconventional way.

Some people have started their own businesses by combining their love of baking with their love of dogs to produce their own brand of doggie treats. It’s not a conventional pairing, but it’s one that works!

5.Ask questions. This works especially well in group brainstorming sessions. Encourage plenty of questions about everyone’s ideas. Questions can lead to a basic idea being fleshed out into a workable solution, and that, of course, is what a brainstorming session is all about!

Ask questions, discuss, or even debate. Approaching solutions from different perspectives helps you see a larger and more accurate picture.

Acquiring problem solving skills makes our life so much easier! Use these techniques to brainstorm new ideas and solutions, and you’ll discover new fountains flowing with ideas you never knew existed! Problems can become opportunities in disguise. You just may find yourself going from zero to hero in one short brainstorming session. Try it – you’ll like it!

5 Ways To Focus And Get Back On Task http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-focus-and-get-back-on-task/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-focus-and-get-back-on-task/#respond Thu, 17 Aug 2017 15:00:33 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9968 Law of Attraction CoachEach day, there are dozens of tasks that are calling your name, both at work and in your personal life. With life being so busy it’s easy to lose focus on the big picture. How many times have you gone to bed wondering what you actually accomplished that day? Or have you ever felt like your day was somehow wasted?

To avoid these feelings, you can try a few different methods to get yourself back on track. Rather than bemoaning your wasted time, resolve to regain your focus and get back on task.

Confucius Says…

There’s a famous quote about focus by the great philosopher Confucius: “If you chase two rabbits, you catch none.” True, there might be people who are able to multitask and do it relatively well; but more often than not, people who split their attention between two different tasks have a more difficult time completing both tasks well. Here are five ways to regain your focus and get back on task:

1.Eliminate the distractions. Get rid of the barriers that are causing you to avoid getting things done –it’s that simple! Forget about checking email every five minutes; those emails will still be there when you complete your task. Make a list of distractions and eliminate!

Turn off the phone and let the voice mail take over.

Close the blinds in your office.

Turn off the music if you find yourself singing more than working.

Simply closing the door to your office can give you more privacy and more focus.

2.Prioritize your work. Rather than working on projects simultaneously, take one thing at a time, focus on it, and worry about all the other projects later. Ultimately, you’ll get a lot more done and you’ll finish it more quickly. You’ll also be recognized by the high quality that you deliver when you’re free from distractions.

Find a way to prioritize that works best for you. Choose either the project that has the earliest deadline or the one with the least components so you can finish it quickly and get it out of the way. There are pros and cons to both systems so tackle it whichever way works for you.

3.Tell everyone to respect your time. There are many nice and respectful ways to tell people to back off. If you’re finding yourself in a time crunch and can’t seem to get away from others, consider letting them know that you need time to finish some important tasks. There are a lot of different ways to do it – just make sure you do!

Set times that you’ll accept phone calls and even visitors. Tell them to contact you by email and then set a regular time to check your email.

Set business hours during which people can expect you to return their calls or emails.

4.Set some limitations with your internet access. The internet is wonderful but it can be a huge time waster, especially if you work at a computer all day long. Regain your focus with some self-imposed rules.

First, close all those windows you’re not using. Avoid MySpace or Facebook, quit searching on eBay, and leave messenger alone!

Establish certain times each day to use these fun things and just focus on what you have to do. You’ll quickly accomplish more!

5.Have confidence in your abilities. This may seem like a really small thing when it comes to focusing and getting back on task, but believing that you can get everything done that you set out to do puts you in a positive frame of mind and you’ll be less distracted with stress and worry.

Have confidence that you can complete each task with ease and believe in your ability to deliver. If you’ll just have the confidence, you’re sure to have the focus!

Now that you’ve been introduced to five ways to focus and get back on task, it’s up to you to take action and learn how to focus your thoughts. If you’ve got to get stuff done, follow these steps so you can put yourself – and your goals – first!

5 Ways To Alleviate Day-To-Day Stress http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-alleviate-day-to-day-stress/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-alleviate-day-to-day-stress/#respond Wed, 16 Aug 2017 15:00:42 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9966 Stress is a part of your everyday life that seems to come from everywhere. Work, relationships, and even hobbies can cause nervous tension in your life. Regardless of the source of your anxiety, you can alleviate this day-to-day stress and find more peace.

Sometimes stress comes from taking on too much. At times, it feels like you’ll never get anything done. If you’re too busy, small changes can make a big difference, and more importantly, they can enable you to take back control of your life.

Here are five easy ways you can alleviate everyday stress:

1.Get some rest. Your body needs enough rest to recharge and maintain peak condition. When you lose sleep, it’s much easier to become irritated and let things get to you.

A “power nap” is perfect for getting your rest quickly, especially if you have a busy schedule. Instead of lying in bed and taking a full nap, try closing your eyes in a quiet room for about 15 to 20 minutes. A shorter nap can often be more effective and provide a greater boost of energy to help you sail through your remaining tasks.

2.Eat well. If you regularly make wise choices about what you put into your body, your body will reward you with a more relaxed approach to life’s challenges. It’s hard to face difficult situations when your body lacks the fuel it needs to properly respond to those situations.

Nuts, berries, and basic carbohydrates can increase the level of serotonin in your body. Your body uses serotonin to regulate your mood. If you eat properly, your body will be prepared for challenges and you’ll often be able to relieve stress and anxiety before it starts.

3.Play your troubles away. Exercise is a great way to unwind and relieve the worry in your life. But exercise doesn’t have to involve a lengthy, strenuous workout session at the gym. Anything fun that gets your body moving will do the trick.

When you exert yourself physically, your body releases endorphins. These endorphins act like your body’s natural “feel good drug.”

Play with your kids after work. Run around the yard to get your blood pumping. Jog around the block and feel your stress melt away.

4.Stretch and flex. Many professionals recommend an exercise for stress relief that involves stretching and flexing your muscles. With practice, this exercise can help you calm down quickly and feel more in control amidst the storms of your life.

Tense each muscle in your body, one at a time, and hold for a few seconds. Then release each muscle slowly. Repeat with each muscle group. Practice as often as possible and call upon this tensing and releasing technique whenever you need instant stress relief.

Sometimes, simply stretching tense muscles alleviates stress. Stretching your muscles allows more blood to flow into them and relaxes them. The more relaxed your muscles are, the calmer your mind will be and the easier it’ll be to focus on attaining the results you desire.

5.Count to ten. When you’re frustrated or upset, take a timeout. Slowly count to 10 and focus on your breathing. Take deep, long, deliberate breaths from your belly. Often, this will be enough to help you to quickly regain focus and face the challenge with a new sense of peace.

These simple steps can help you cope with your everyday stress. But they only work if you use them! Manage your emotions wisely and begin to experience the control and inner peace you deserve.

7 Top Fixes for An Unsatisfying Life http://evagregory.com/7-top-fixes-for-an-unsatisfying-life-2/ http://evagregory.com/7-top-fixes-for-an-unsatisfying-life-2/#respond Tue, 15 Aug 2017 15:00:58 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9963 If you’re at a point where you’re asking yourself, “How did I get here,” it may be time for you to figure out ways to change the direction of your life.

Deciding you have an unsatisfying life may not be easy, but it’s a relevant first step that will lead you toward the path you’ve always wanted to take.

So, if you seek to repair some things in your life, consider these steps:

1.Get specific regarding what you’re disappointed about. Jot down the details of what bugs you.

For example, if you’re disturbed about your home’s condition (unorganized or messy), write it down. If you feel down because you never got the training or education you wanted, put that on the list, too.

The purpose of this step is to identify the things that you find hard to accept about your life. This list provides you with a blueprint of what to work on to discover the life you want.

2.Come up with concrete solutions for each of the items on your list. If you’re annoyed with the mess in your home, write down what you can do in the short term to feel better about it. Do the same with each item.

These solutions will guide you in your quest to live a more optimistic, satisfying life.

3.Begin working toward some of your solutions today. Once you make a good start, you’ll be motivated to continue.

Keeping with the same examples, get some boxes and garbage bags and work on getting your living room in shape.

Make some calls to the local schools to see what coursework they offer in the field you’re interested in. Better yet, visit their websites and you can see for yourself the course offerings, length of training, and costs.

4.Refuse to let anything or anyone stop you from changing your life. Commit to yourself and your future. Acknowledge that you’re worth the effort to achieve your goals.

5.Remind yourself that you can do it. You have what it takes to move your life in the direction you want to go. Each day, be positive. Tell yourself you can do it.

6.Rally support. Who do you have in your life that will be supportive of your positive efforts to re-vamp your life? A parent or sibling, friend, neighbor, or even a co-worker might be inclined to motivate and encourage you to follow through.

7.Consider your life’s journey an adventure. Keep in mind that some journeys are bumpy. Some are scary. But when you start to move toward your goals, you’ll recognize you’re beginning to love the adventure.

The good news is that you have the power to repair your life however you like. If you identify specific areas that disappoint you, you can then generate solutions to correct them. When you start putting solutions into play and refuse to let anything stop you from fixing your life, you’ll move ahead with gusto.

Keep in mind you can do anything you set your mind to. Seek support from your friends and family. Most importantly, approach your plan to fix your life with a true sense of adventure. When you carry out these steps, you’ll see that anything is possible. Yes, you can fix your life!

5 Tips That Increase the Odds Of Achieving Your Goals http://evagregory.com/5-tips-that-increase-the-odds-of-achieving-your-goals/ http://evagregory.com/5-tips-that-increase-the-odds-of-achieving-your-goals/#respond Mon, 14 Aug 2017 15:00:21 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9960 Law of AttractionFew dispute the importance of setting goals. It only makes sense that having a written objective increases the likelihood of success! Effective goals have several characteristics that help to assure a positive outcome. Have you worded the goal in a way that ensures your success? Have you adequately prioritized the goal?

By incorporating a few strategic ideas into your next goal setting session, you can greatly increase your odds of success.

Try these strategies to help make your goal a reality:

1.Choose the best goal for you. Consider all possibilities before you select the topic of your goal.

A simple, but effective exercise is to list 5-10 possible goals that you believe would improve your life. Then ask yourself, “Which of these goals would benefit my life the most right now?”

A more meaningful goal has a better chance of being achieved.

2.A goal statement must have a deadline. Without a deadline, your goal will lack any sense of time urgency.

A recommended way of formatting your goal is: “On or before 06/01/xx, I will have completed specific actions #1 and #2 to sufficiently lose at least 15 lbs.” This statement provides a clear endpoint, but still allows for the goal to be accomplished sooner.

It is generally more effective to limit the timeframe to 12 weeks or less. If a goal will require a greater period of time, break the goal down into smaller, multiple goals.

3.Leave the results open ended when appropriate. Just as you allowed the goal to be accomplished sooner than the specified date in the above example, where appropriate, also allow your results to surpass your goal.

Notice the portion of the goal above: “lose at least 15 lbs.” Wording the goal statement in this fashion allows for greater results, assuming that is appropriate for you. Avoid limiting your results if it’s unnecessary to do so.

Here are some examples of goals that can usually be left open ended:

i)Money-based goals: Would anyone ever want to limit themselves here?

ii)Weight-loss goals: Depending on the amount of weight that needs to be lost, losing a couple more pounds would usually be received as good news.

4.Include your responsibilities. Always include specific actions in your goal statement.

Engineers frequently state that something is “necessary, but not sufficient.” For example, an egg is necessary to bake a cake but it’s not sufficient; other ingredients are also required. By including specific actions in your statement, you’re claiming responsibility for doing everything that needs to be done to accomplish the goal.

5.Prioritize your goal. Your brain is inundated with countless things every day. It needs to know that this goal is more important than all the other tasks it faces each day.

One way to accomplish this is by utilizing repetition. After first setting your goal, write it down 25 times. Now notice how you feel about the goal. If you feel anything less than motivated and excited, there is some question in your mind about it; try to figure out what’s holding back your enthusiasm so you can move forward with confidence.

Strong, positive emotions can also be used as a prioritization tool. Imagine what it would feel like to achieve your goal. Imagine the ideal scene. What would you see, smell, think, and feel? The better the vision, the better the odds of success.

Every day, write your goal one time and perform the visualization process several times. This will reinforce the priority of your goal.

Consider these ideas the next time you set a goal. By using these 5 tips, your odds of success will increase greatly. While there are multiple ways to set goals, the process above has been proven to be highly effective time and time again. Try it on your next goal; you’re sure to be pleasantly surprised.

5 Ways To Break A Bad Habit http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-break-a-bad-habit/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-break-a-bad-habit/#respond Fri, 11 Aug 2017 15:00:10 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9957 Law of Attraction CoachLet’s face it: we all have a bad habit or two that we would like to get rid of! Whether it be smoking, biting our nails, overeating, or a host of other afflictions, it may be easier to eliminate it than you imagine.

With a little perseverance, willpower, and determination, you can be free from that nasty little habit!

Here are five strategies that can help:

1.Commitment. Make sure this is something you truly want to accomplish. It’s wonderful to “talk the talk,” but you’ll need to back that up by “walking the walk” as well. Be honest with yourself.Do you truly believe that this is the right time to kick your bad habit? Remember, it has to be done for the right reasons.

Don’t let yourself be pressured by others.Search your soul and be certain you’re doing this for only one person – you! It’s your time and energy you’ll be using to make your goal a reality, so make your decision carefully.

2.Start a journal. Jot down every time you practice your bad habit. This isn’t to be used as a punishment, but to give you more of an idea when your undesired behavior is occurring, so that you can better devise ways to break it.

Include your thoughts and feelings that precede or accompany the behavior. This can give you an idea if you’re doing this when you’re under stress, bored, tired, and so on. Though it may seem time consuming at first, recording these thoughts and actions can be a wonderful tool to speed up your success in breaking the habit.

3.Choose an alternative behavior. This behavior can either remind you of your desire to quit or be a permanent replacement of your bad behavior with a desirable one instead.

For example, a friend of mine once put a rubber band on her wrist when she was quitting smoking. Each time she had the urge to light up a cigarette, she would snap the rubber band on her wrist instead. Naturally, this was only temporary to remind her not to smoke.

Some more ideas are to take a walk, read a book, sing a song, or cook. Any activity can be used as an alternative behavior. Of course, you don’t want to replace one bad habit with another one, but anything that can redirect your focus works well.

4.Start a replacement schedule right away. Start immediately replacing your bad habit with your alternative, but a gradual shift may work better for you than a complete change.

You may want to start with once a week, then maybe twice week, then three times, until you’re consistently practicing your alternative behavior instead of the bad habit.

Remember, this won’t happen overnight, so please practice patience. People learn different behaviors at a different pace. Don’t be discouraged if your best friend stopped smoking in three weeks and you’re on your fifth week and still craving a cigarette.5.Don’t keep this a secret. If you’ve made the decision to break a habit, tell others. This is the time when you need the support of your family and friends to help you be successful.

Whether you succeed or not, you’ve taken a major leap in a positive direction. That’s why it’s so important to share what you hope to accomplish with family and friends. Those who love you will be there to encourage you, offer support, and help you wherever they can.

Breaking a bad habit can be difficult, but it isn’t impossible. Use these techniques to make your journey easier, then celebrate your accomplishment when you’ve succeeded – you deserve it!

5 Ways To Be Assertive And Say “No” http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-be-assertive-and-say-no/ http://evagregory.com/5-ways-to-be-assertive-and-say-no/#respond Thu, 10 Aug 2017 15:00:03 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9954 Law of Attraction CoachDo you find it difficult to be assertive and say “no” to people’s requests? Since there just aren’t enough hours in the day to appease everyone, the art of saying “no” without hurting the feelings of others is an important skill to acquire.

Saying “no” doesn’t mean you have to be rude about it. There are plenty of polite, yet assertive, ways you can tell people “no” when you need to. Here are some ways you can say “no”without being rude or impolite:

1.“No” to now, but “yes” to later.“I’m very busy at the moment. Perhaps someone else can help you. If not, I’ll have time later in the week to help you out.”

This is a great way to say “no.” It’s assertive, but also positive and kind. You let the person know there’s no way you can do what they’re asking at the moment. However, you give them the option to ask someone else or wait until you have the time to help out.

2.“No” unless something changes.“I’m very flattered that you’ve asked me. However, I’m not currently in a position where I can take on this responsibility. Could we talk about this at another time if there’s a change in my circumstances?”

This statement says “no” while still being very polite. You let them know how thrilled you are that they’ve asked you, but then you’re honest about how little time you have to commit to their request.

3.A definitive “No.”“I hate to disappoint you, but I’m not able to do this. I’m afraid I’ll overextend myself.”

With this statement, you express regret for disappointing the person, yet you still let them know that this is a solid “no.” No doubt they’ll understand you don’t want to overextend yourself, which makes them sympathetic to the plight you’re in as well.

This answer is very kind and polite. Plus, it allows them to understand where you’re coming from.

4.“No” to attend an event.”I had a great time before, but I won’t be able to make it this time since I’m already overscheduled.”

Sometimes you may get asked to an event you don’t want to attend or that you just don’t have the time for. You don’t have to feel obligated to go. This statement lets the person know you’ve had a great time in the past, yet you’re overscheduled or busy this time around.

5.“No” to loaning money.”I really wish I could but I make it my practice not to loan money to friends and family.”

Money is one thing that many people ask for from their friends and family. It’s a difficult situation since you don’t want to insult them or hurt their feelings. This statement is a nice way to be assertive and say “no” while still being kind.

You let them know that you wish you could loan them the money, yet you go on to explain why you won’t. You make it clear that this is the practice you have for everyone, and you’re not just saying “no” to him or her personally.

For some reason, parents often feel the need to always say “yes.” Whether it’s working at a PTA function, helping in your child’s classroom, or going to yet another classmate’s birthday party, you may feel like these are things you must fit into your already busy schedule.

However, you can take control of your family’s calendar – and your sanity – by saying “no” to some offers that come your way. Saying “no” in a pleasant tone of voice won’t lose any friends; but it will allow you to set boundaries so you can enjoy life rather than racing through it.

5 Essential Secrets To Emotional Well-Being http://evagregory.com/5-essential-secrets-to-emotional-well-being-2/ http://evagregory.com/5-essential-secrets-to-emotional-well-being-2/#respond Wed, 09 Aug 2017 15:00:50 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9952 Law of Attraction CoachHabits are the key. Your habits determine how much money is in your bank account and the size of your waistline. Your habits determine the quality of your life.

It can seem impossible to break bad habits or to create new, positive habits. Most people have an ineffective approach. They try to go cold turkey and rely on willpower to force the necessary changes.

You already know this doesn’t work unless you’re incredibly motivated, and motivation isn’t reliable. It’s here one day and gone the next.

Create new habits more effectively by avoiding the most common mistakes:

1.Changing too much, too soon. A new habit is best installed in baby steps. If you want to spend two hours each day writing your novel, start with a single sentence each day. One sentence accomplishes something exciting: it gets you in the habit of sitting down and writing when it’s time to write. That’s the most important first step.

Start with small changes. Then increase the amount of time and effort when the habit of beginning is in place.

Seek behavioral changes that are so easy, you can’t possibly fail.

2.Relying on self-discipline. If your habit requires self-discipline, it won’t last. At most, self-discipline should only be required to make a habit of getting started. Habits are automatic.Self-discipline isn’t required to eat a candy bar or watch TV for most of us. If you have a habit of going to the gym, self-discipline isn’t required for that either.

Self-discipline is a short-term solution.

Seek behavioral changes that are so easy, you don’t need self-discipline.

3.Expecting a new habit to be easy to install. Change isn’t easy. You’ll become complacent and lazy if you expect a new habit to be easy to implement. We’d all be rich, in shape, and speak five languages if creating new habits were a simple matter.

4.Expecting a new habit to be difficult to install. The opposite is also true. If you expect the process to be exceptionally difficult, you’ll also struggle. The thought of doing anything that’s hard can be sufficient reason to never get started in the first place.

New behaviors are easy to implement if you start slowly and have patience. It’s moving ahead slowly and having patience that are difficult.

5.Relying too much on information. Our society is blessed, or cursed, with access to an excessive amount of information. This can create two challenges:

It’s very easy to believe that you don’t know enough to take the first step. There’s always something out there that you don’t know. The need to know everything before getting started can leave you stuck. There’s no prize for knowing the most. There is great success in doing the most, though.

The belief that knowledge alone is sufficient is just as harmful. You might know how to do pushups, but that doesn’t provide the same results as doing 100 of them each day.

The special forces have a motto that 60% is enough to take action. If you know 60% of the relevant information, you know enough to move forward. You can figure out the other 40% along the way. Spend 90% of your time doing and 10% learning. Dropping your negative habits and adding new, supportive habits is the key to changing your circumstances. Unfortunately, our instincts about change are incorrect.

Tiny changes are easy to implement and build upon. But this approach requires patience and the belief that it can work. Remember: small changes add up to big results.Avoid the most common mistakes when attempting to add a new habit to your life and you’ll find greater success in adding habits that make a positive impact on your life.

5 Actions That Bring You Success http://evagregory.com/5-actions-that-bring-you-success/ http://evagregory.com/5-actions-that-bring-you-success/#respond Tue, 08 Aug 2017 15:00:08 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9949 Law of Attraction CoachWho doesn’t want more success? Whatever you’ve already accomplished, there’s always another interesting mountain to climb. If you’re looking for more achievement, you can improve your life dramatically with a few simple changes.

Although these suggestions are straightforward, most of them will require constant attention for a little while until they become habitual. Once they become automatic, though, you’ll be thrilled with your progress.

Try these ideas to enjoy greater success:

1.Hang out with successful individuals. You’ll frequently find that you achieve about as much as the people with whom you spend the most time. If you want to be successful, affiliate as often as you can with people who are more successful than you. There are a couple of reasons for this:

You’ll be exposed to a completely different way of thinking and interacting with the world. Very successful people look at many things differently than those who are less successful. Integrating some of these ideas into your own thinking will likely bring you more successes of your own.

You’ll also encounter new opportunities. High-achieving people frequently have all kinds of ventures going on; you never know when they might need a helping hand. You’ll also get to connect with their peer group, who are likely to be very successful as well.

2.Adjust your attitude. Successful people usually have a positive attitude. That’s what allows them to move forward aggressively. This is not the same as acting foolishly, however.

Minor challenges don’t bog them down because they believe that things will work out in the end. They also keep the bigger picture in mind, so minor challenges are just that – minor.

If you want to be wealthy, do you have positive attitudes about wealth and wealthy people? If you want to be healthy, do you have a positive outlook about that? Your attitudes must be congruent with your objectives.

Everything starts internally; seeing outside changes in your life takes time.

3.Be organized and focused. Before you go to bed each night, make a list with all the things you want to accomplish the next day. Doing this at night gives your brain a chance to work on things in your sleep. Also, you’ll feel much better when you can start the day with a clear objective instead of spending time trying to figure out what to do.

4.Have goals. Your brain is tremendously good at finding solutions. You can help it out by doing a good job of outlining and prioritizing your objectives. The simplest way to do this is to write down your goal and include a deadline. Now your brain knows what to work on and when to have it accomplished.

Read over your goals at least twice a day to provide mental emphasis that they’re important. We all know how easy it is to get sidetracked by 50 other things and forget all about our goals and plans.

These 4 simple ideas can bring you great power, if you’ll use them to your advantage.

Being successful is really no more challenging than being unsuccessful. Both require specific actions and attitudes applied consistently over a period of time. Make some changes today and give yourself the gift of success.

5 Proven Tips To Turn Your Plans Into Reality http://evagregory.com/5-proven-tips-to-turn-your-plans-into-reality/ http://evagregory.com/5-proven-tips-to-turn-your-plans-into-reality/#respond Mon, 07 Aug 2017 15:00:30 +0000 http://evagregory.com/?p=9945 Surely, you have big plans for your future. However, a plan is just a dream without action to get the ball rolling towards your desired result. It’s time to put your fears and indecisiveness aside and pursue the reality that you know you deserve!

Try these proven tips to help you achieve your dreams:

1.Know what you want.Decisiveness leads to success. If you’re fickle about how you see your life in 5 years, or even just 6 months from now, you’ll keep spinning your wheels. Pick the road that is best for you and stick to it!

Ensure that your goal directly affects and benefits you. Let others worry about what’s best for them. For example, if you want your son to get into Penn State because that’s your alma mater, he’s the one that has to make that call. You’re in charge of your own life, and only the decisions that affect you.

2.Be practical. You’re unlikely to lose 10 pounds in five days, and it’s silly to want to teach yoga before you’ve never even taken a class yourself. Ensure that your plans are practical as a whole and that you allot a reasonable timeframe to their attainment.

3.Get started. The first step is by far the most important step in order to enact your plans. Making the initial move will inspire you to follow through with the necessary steps thereafter.

Often, the first step is the simplest step. For example, if you’re determined to impress your mother-in-law with a juicy turkey this thanksgiving, research turkey-cooking techniques online. If you want to tone up your abdomen, enroll in a belly dancing class.

4.Take it step-by-step. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. If you want quality, lasting results, break your process down into small, measurable results that you can surely attain.

It’s easier to cut fast food out of your diet than it is to cut every bad food from your life altogether. It’s also easier to jump into the pool before you try to swim a race. Baby steps are vital to your success and self esteem.

5.Acquire some training. If you’re attempting to carry out a complicated plan that you lack experience in doing, it’s a smart idea to get training in the field.

You’ll greatly benefit from downloading an eBook or attending a local class that teaches you how to properly execute your plan. The investment is often free or inexpensive, but the additional information could make the difference between failure and joyous success.

Many plans that we create in our minds remain only a dream. The culprit of this dooming behavior is often complacency, fear of failure, or sheer laziness. But know this: if you truly want something, you stand to gain a lifetime of happiness by chasing it.

If you fail, you can always try again. Being able to say that you’ve given an honest attempt is an honor in itself. You only have one life to live; with decisive action and persistence, you can overcome every obstacle in your way to achieve the reality you desire!
